Would you like your work published on The Domestic Tourist Publishing Network, which includes the Domestic Tourist Travel Blog, My Destination Bahamas and affiliate publishers, such as Google Field Trip?

The Domestic Tourist has an open admission process for pitching article ideas. Our requirements are basic: submit original work, stick to our Editorial Guidelines, ensure your ideas reflect at least two tenets from the Domestic Tourist Travel Manifesto and demonstrate a command of the English language.

We are not  hiring full time or part time writers for our staff. We are looking for contributors and freelance travel correspondents to participate in our unpaid and paid articles programs. We like working with the same writers, and will give our contributors and freelancers preference when staff positions become available. When active opportunities are available in our paid writers program, we issue a call for submissions.

Every article requires photos. Writers do not have to be professional photographers, but they do need to demonstrate a command of photography basics. Photos from mobile devices are acceptable once they meet basic standard requirements.

We consider all of our contributors, whether they supply a paid feature article, a guest post, or a review for our destination guide, to be a foot solider in a movement to share a common love for the Islands of The Bahamas, and to encourage others to live better by travelling more.

If you have a passion for discovering and exploring the Islands of The Bahamas and a knack for writing, photography or video blogging, find out how to get published.
